Can you believe it’s already September? Yes, I know, we’re a week into the new month but I still can’t believe we’re already into the final stretch of the year. With September comes Pumpkin Spice Lattes (even in Panama), Fashion Week and the Bloglovin’ Awards!
As part of the many perks of being nominated for Breakthrough Fashion Blogger of the Year, I got to come back to New York for the awards and wear an amazing H&M Studio AW16 look for the ceremony on September 12. Back in July, when the nominees and I came over for our mentorship session with Man Repeller, we got a preview of the entire collection and the opportunity to try it all on and select what ever we wanted to wear for the ceremony. It was such a hard choice because the H&M Studio AW16 collection is so artfully created, the embroidery details had me enamoured. But when I saw these high waist, wide leg corduroy trousers and crisp white shirt I just thought: power suit! I love the cinched waist which adds a bit of femininity to an otherwise masculine look. You know I love a good masculine/feminine play. The shirt has the most amazing fit and details; see the buttons along the sides? And the pants make my legs look like they go on for days! As soon as I tried this look on, I was sold.
