Finally posting the first set of quite a few runway photos I took last year during the Spring 2015 shows. In a way, maybe it makes more sense to post them now because the new season is almost here; and even though you might have already seen the Diesel Black Gold SS15 collection on websites like Style.com or on Instagram, maybe you haven’t seen some of the attendees sitting front row across the runway from me! I know, I know… I’m supposed to be looking at the clothes; and I did. But I just couldn’t help but snap a few shots of Aimee Song, Kelly Framel, Kate Lanphear, Suzy Menkes –Ah, the irony!– and even Natalie Joos!
The collection was true to Diesel’s personality; rebellious and sexy, although this time I felt it to be a little more polished than other seasons. Nothing was ripped, shredded or acid washed; a welcomed departure for the brand. Just like Tommy Hilfiger, Diesel Black Gold’s SS15 collection was heavily influenced by music as well and both brands also employed star motifs throughout.
