Wearing yellow and gold could be kind of like being blonde and wearing yellow. Some people think it doesn’t look right, but then came Michelle Williams at the Oscars (I forget which year, but she went with Heath Ledger) wearing a marigold dress with her light locks and the most perfect shade of red lipstick. She looked stunning! I also think Naomi Watts has rocked a similar combination and nailed it as well. So why not wear yellow if you’re a blonde? Or why not wear yellow with gold? Specially for New Year’s Eve. It’s a worldwide tradition to wear something sparkly for the 31st, but here in Panama—as well as in some other countries in Latin America and I think in Spain—there’s a tradition of wearing something yellow or red to bring good luck in the New Year. Usually it’s panties, but I’m not a big fan of colorful underwear TBH!
So in the spirit of optimism, I put together this yellow and gold outfit which I think could be perfect for a NYE party, whether you’re staying in the city or heading off to an exotic beach destination.
I still have two more posts coming up before the New Year, and before unveiling a project I’ve been working on for the past few months. One which I know will make 2017 an amazing year, both creatively and professionally.
Can’t wait to share it with all of you! Stay tuned.
