Okay guys. The past months have been a whirlwind of work and travel. I apologize for not updating the blog on a weekly basis. But I am back on track now and chock full of new material to post in the coming weeks! So get ready for a tidal wave of fashion and style.
First up is my very first NYFW Spring 2016 post. This season I was sent by Lexus Panama to New York to get all the deets on next season’s styles. One of the most memorable shows was, without a doubt, Kate Spade’s presentation. Set in the Meat Packing District, Deborah Lloyd’s team transformed the brick walled space into a flower market, complete with a custom bouquet station. You could pick your flowers and have florists arrange them for you or you could DIY it. There were also waiters with cute KS aprons serving bagels, coffee in the typical New York cups (called “The Anthora”, FYI), and –obvs– mini Moëts; because no Fashion Week presentation is complete without bubbly, even at 11am on a weekday!
The clothes were cute as hell, too. I’m a sucker for graphics, type and stripes. This collection touched on all of these motifs and delivered a vibe that was somehow girly, but at the same time mischievous and cool. It’s not an easy combination of qualities to put together but Kate Spade always has the right amount of playfulness and nonchalant attitude that I love.
Scroll down to view my favorite looks. The accessories are truly amazing! Can’t wait til this hit’s stores next year!
In collaboration with Lexus. Thanks to Kate Spade Panama and New York for the invitation.
