So you already know the story of what happened to me before the Tommy Hilfiger show… But what about the show itself? Well, it was like being transported to a rock concert in the 1970s, heavily influenced by patriotism and Americana. Skinny scarves, multicolored shaggy fur, stars and stripes, metallic leather and knits, patchwork denim, Sergeant Pepper vibes… They all made an appearance over the flower field runway. Behind it was a full blown stage with two drummers, each with their own drum set.
Daughters of rock and roll royalty and top bloggers and editors sat front row, and Georgia May Jagger may have opened the show (hey, that rhymed!), but perhaps the most notable person in the Armory that day was Kendall Jenner, who looked amazing in a scalloped bikini top and belted short bottoms. Having seen her walking a show for the first time that day, I must say, so far I think she has a more commanding presence on the runway than in photos. I always rooted for her because I think there’s nothing wrong about her coming from a famous family; so does Georgia May Jagger and Cara Delevigne. But now, Kendall has to prove she actually deserves all the work she’s gotten.
Tell me, what do you think of Kendall’s campaigns and editorials so far?
