Two Museums You Must Visit In Your Lifetime

As you may have noticed if you follow me on Instagram; one of my favorite things to do when I travel—either alone or with José— is to visit museums and galleries. There’s nothing like spending the day in an art institution perusing its walls, freshening up on my history or getting inspired for my next design project or—why not?—outfit. Below are two of the most jaw droppingly amazing museums I’ve had the pleasure of visiting so far.

*UPDATE: My Loewe Flamenco bag (as seen in this post) is on SALE here!

LOCATED BY THE WATER ON THE ØRESUND STRAIT JUST A SHORT DRIVE NORTH OF COPENHAGEN LIES WHAT IS SO FAR MY FAVORITE MUSEUM IN THE WORLD. ITS LOCATION WAS BREATHTAKING EVEN ON A COLD, CLOUDY DAY. AND THE ART INSIDE WAS ONE OF THE MOST SUPERB COLLECTIONS I’VE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO SEE AND EXPERIENCE. EVEN THE GIFT SHOP WAS INSANE. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

  • Would love to visit The Getty! Hopefully at some point when I visit LA sometime soon 🙂

Never heard of the Louisiana Museum before, but definitely recognize that room full of lights! Good to put a name to the pictures I’ve seen so I can pop it on my list of places to visit.

    • Thanks for reading and commenting babe! The Getty is ah-mazing!!! And the room full of lights is the Infinity Room by Yayoi Kusama and it’s installed in several museums and galleries around the world so you can probably catch it somewhere in the Americas too 🙂

  • I absolutely love to visit museums when I visit a place – I’m a sucker for modern art!

I am yet to visit both of these but I also love the Guggenheim in NYC – I think that one is a must see! and if you ever go to Istanbul, the modern art museum there was amazing!

    • The Gug is also one of my musts whenever I visit NYC!!! Have you been to Dia:Beacon? It’s on my museum bucket list but I still haven’t made the trek out there 🙁
Oh definitely putting the Istanbul museum on my list too, love! Thanks so much for the recommendation!
