As you may have noticed if you follow me on Instagram; one of my favorite things to do when I travel—either alone or with José— is to visit museums and galleries. There’s nothing like spending the day in an art institution perusing its walls, freshening up on my history or getting inspired for my next design project or—why not?—outfit. Below are two of the most jaw droppingly amazing museums I’ve had the pleasure of visiting so far.

DESIGNED BY RICHARD MEIER AND LOCATED ATOP THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES IN A MOST SURREAL SETTING, THE GETTY MUSEUM’S GETTY CENTER WILL HAVE YOU TORN BETWEEN ADMIRING THE EXTERIOR ARCHITECTURE, GARDENS AND VIEWS OR THE ACTUAL ‘ART’ HANGING IN THE WALLS WITHIN.

LOCATED BY THE WATER ON THE ØRESUND STRAIT JUST A SHORT DRIVE NORTH OF COPENHAGEN LIES WHAT IS SO FAR MY FAVORITE MUSEUM IN THE WORLD. ITS LOCATION WAS BREATHTAKING EVEN ON A COLD, CLOUDY DAY. AND THE ART INSIDE WAS ONE OF THE MOST SUPERB COLLECTIONS I’VE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO SEE AND EXPERIENCE. EVEN THE GIFT SHOP WAS INSANE. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.
