Blue jeans; a white t-shirt, blouse or button down shirt; a brown leather bag. Classic, right? Traditional, sure, why not? Boring? Not necessarily. Specially when we’re talking about a white off-the-shoulder-deconstructed-trench-coat top like this amazing number by C/meo I found at Uber Shop in Panama. Or when we’re ditching the usual skinny jeans and boyfriend jeans for other, much cooler, denim silhouettes like these mid-rise, ankle grazing straight leg jeans from COS. And definitely not when the brown leather bag is my beloved Puzzle by Jonathan Anderson for Loewe. Picking the right not-so-basic basics are the best way to update classic, go-to combinations that can get you out the door in no time, looking anything but boring. Finish the look off with the sunglasses everyone is talking about (yeah, those Matrix-style, Kendall-endorsed, Balenciaga-is-to-blame frames) and some black shoes, because you definitely don’t want to match them to your brown bag. I opted for these Mango mules I can’t seem to stop wearing! And voilà! A classic outfit with a little je ne sais quoi.
