Skincare & Beauty Favorites From May

I was in New York earlier this month and I decided to stop by the Glossier showroom and test a few of their products in person instead of blindly purchasing them online. As tempting as their website and packaging are, it’s always better to try products out IRL before you commit to them. I was pleasantly surprised by their Priming Moisturizer Rich because even though it is very rich, it absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel greasy afterwards. It also has the most delicious lavender scent. I hate lavender so I just couldn’t believe how nice it felt on my face. It’s got a therapeutic, calming and luxurious flair to it and it really makes me look forward to putting it on at night. In New York, I was able to use it day and night, but since Panama is so humid, I save it only for my nighttime routine. I’ve also been trying all the other products you see here, and I think Glossier’s Super Pure and Mario Badescu’s Special Cucumber Lotion have played a big part in my skin’s improvement from acne. I took some close-up photos the other day and I was impressed of my face’s improved texture. Last but not least, I’ve been throwing it back with my perfume lately and trying out YSL’s cult classic Black Opium. It makes me feel like I’m ready to disco!

A few skincare and beauty things on my vanity from the month of May
  • The Glossier blushes are the boooooomb! I’m obsessed with them and can’t take them away from my face. All their things are truly amazing on the skin and have helped me improve so much – even though at this time, my skin feels terrible. Love the pictures 😉 xx

    • Thanks Eduarda! Yes the blushes ARE amazing!!! Awww… sad to hear your skin feels terrible RN, why do you think that is? xoxo

      • I’m not exactly sure. I have a lot of food intolerances but try to steer clear of those, but then it’s just outside factors like pollution, water here in NYC, stress. I’ve been trying to figure out a skin routine that works and see how it goes. But thanks for asking! Xx

        • Same, girl! Same! Have you tried Bioderma’s Micellar water? You can use it to “wash” your face instead of using water, no rinsing required. It was developed for that same purpose. Also, I think Chanel’s La Solution 10 actually works very well to protect skin from environmental pollutants 🙂 xoxo

          • Yes! I actually rotate between that one and Garnier’s Micellar Water. I used to apply the Chanel La Solution, so I guess I should go back to it. Thanks so much for the tips! Aha 😉 xx

  • I heard glossier is coming to the UK so I’m really excited to try their products especially their blush! It’s good to hear some positive things about it because my skin is SOO sensitive!

    • My skin is sensitive too, but Glossier’s products are pretty good on it. No bad experiences or reactions so far 🙂 xoxo
