Skincare & Beauty Favorites From May

I was in New York earlier this month and I decided to stop by the Glossier showroom and test a few of their products in person instead of blindly purchasing them online. As tempting as their website and packaging are, it’s always better to try products out IRL before you commit to them. I was pleasantly surprised by their Priming Moisturizer Rich because even though it is very rich, it absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel greasy afterwards. It also has the most delicious lavender scent. I hate lavender so I just couldn’t believe how nice it felt on my face. It’s got a therapeutic, calming and luxurious flair to it and it really makes me look forward to putting it on at night. In New York, I was able to use it day and night, but since Panama is so humid, I save it only for my nighttime routine. I’ve also been trying all the other products you see here, and I think Glossier’s Super Pure and Mario Badescu’s Special Cucumber Lotion have played a big part in my skin’s improvement from acne. I took some close-up photos the other day and I was impressed of my face’s improved texture. Last but not least, I’ve been throwing it back with my perfume lately and trying out YSL’s cult classic Black Opium. It makes me feel like I’m ready to disco!
